Cultural Appropriation? Let’s fix this.

As white people, we find there are many things that we can’t do due to it being labelled as cultural appropriation. It’s only fair that other races do not appropriate our culture.
So here is a list of things that you, as a non-white person, can not do.
- You can not speak English.
- You can not use Western medicine.
- You may not use the internet.
- You may not listen to rock music.
- You may not use the word ‘cracker’. It is not your word.
- Do not use things invented by white people, i.e. computers, pianos, telephones, aircrafts, pencils, cameras, or the theatre.
- You may not get drunk with beer.
- You may not wear any clothing created by white people, as it is racist and appropriating.
- You may not synthetically dye your hair.
- Do not use slang created by our people.
Signed, Kie.

white people are so sad they don’t even know where their culture ends and the personal achievements and theft from other cultures begins.
“clothing created by white people”
you mean the clothing sewn by low-wage workers in asian and african countries for mass-production countries.
and you have no “western medicine” considering a big chunk of europe was too fucking stupid to bathe. nor do you have rock music without the creation of jazz by black artists in harlem.
read a book.

Some more gems from appeal-to-the-new-era. I sure wish I was as awesome and edgy as he is.

if only i had gotten a c- in history like he did!
Spread love, not hate.

Okay. Not trying to start an argument here but anyone who is slamming people for wearing headdresses is extremely ignorant. I am in no way trying to create a stereotype of the Native American culture. I made the ones I have myself first of all and secondly I never claimed that they were Native American. Countries from all over the world have headdress that involve feathers of some sort. The ones I’ve made are just peace headdresses. Native Americans don’t have a copyright over headdresses. I understand that people just like to have a cause so they can rant about something but being obnoxious and rude at the expense of others is just mean. If someone wants to put on a headdress - especially one that they MADE THEMSELVES from scratch who are you to criticize them? Bad things have happened throughout history and continue to this day, I don’t support genocide or anything that certain people are implying. Headdresses are a symbol of peace and unity throughout many cultures - an ideal that me and my friends share. People criticizing individuals for wearing them seem to only be spreading hate. If someone was to dress up like a Native American and make racial slurs, make fun of, or say or act in offensive ways like Black face did to African Americans then yes - that is racist. I have personally never, ever seen anyone do anything like that though. Anyways, Native Americans came across the Bering Strait thousands of years ago. Most headdresses are actually of Asian decent and influence. Native Americans do not have a unique hold over headdresses to think so is very arrogant and insulting to other cultures who actually originated them.
Almost every country in the world has some sort of headdress representing their cultural past. Here is a few of the countries that have feathers headdresses throughout their culture:
Papua New Guinea
Brazil
Nicaragua
Guatemala
Indonesia
Mexico
Loas
No reason to be rude and spread more hate. There is nothing wrong with educating people about the history of Native American headdresses - instead you could tell them this nicely and ask them to keep in mind the ideals of the people in which you feel these headdresses represent. Saying “Hey look, another festival hipster headdress. GTFO.” Now THAT is rude. You don’t know me. I’m a pretty decent person and would never say that to anyone. So try to be a little more tactful about the way you address a situation. Not everyone looks at things the same way. Teach people about the heritage that you have, but headdress and other things have more than one meaning.
did you even take the time to notice that none of those countries you listed were white?
and white people came over on boats to slaughter them all.
i mean, there’s more i could go into, but it’s finals week, you’re stupid as fuck, and your shitty arts-and-crafts hats are ugly ass hell. go die.
