Tattoo I’m working on..chief Joseph skull with Oregon flowers.

For the love of god, is this supposed to be the skull of Hinmaton-Yalaktit?
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?
Why is a supposedly Nez-Perce skull in a Plains-style headdress?
Or is it supposed to be Joseph Brandt, in which case the headdress is still wrong????
Apparently decorating white people museums and houses and with our fucking dead bodies wasn’t enough; now they’re wearing them on t-shirts and getting them fucking tattooed on them.

What.
My identity is not a costume for you to wear

the saddest part about this, besides the shit on your face,
is that the quote is rumored to be by someone named glenn lazore who is said to be mohawk, not cherokee.
but i’ve yet to see anything more than speculation, so it could be by some white kid from indiana for all i know.
