I’m so fucking tired of the cultural approp police using the reason that “headresses should only be worn by men!!!” when they see some white girl in a hipster headdress. It must be noted also that I think wearing them is tacky and disrespectful, anyway.

BUT STILL.

When a white man says he doesn’t think women are as typically physically strong as men (true, of course) it’s horribly sexist.

But when it’s a Native tradition, it’s just fine!

Did they just try and equivocate two separate types of discrimination to justify their…you know what? I’m not going to stress myself out over this shit today.

I guess understanding the concept of different cultural norms or that women wear their own regalia is too much for some folks.

or the part where the fact that it’s a Woman wearing a headdress is just part of the problem.
